Os irmãos Michael e Nick Rufolo são os cérebros fervilhantes por trás do The Brothers Nylon. Estes dois (assumidamente) 'multi-instrumentistas insanos' acabaram de lançar, em parceria com o 'mais louco ainda' Shawn Lee, o disco "Bitches Cold Brew" (referindo-se de certa forma ao clássico "Bitches Brew", de Miles Davis). O lançamento é incrível e leva a outro patamar a obra dos irmãos Rufolo. Apesar disso, outro material expressa melhor a miscelânea e inventividade sonora da banda! "Funk 101" é um catado com (atenção!) 99 faixas com as mais variadas brisas e ensejos. Lançado em 2015, apresenta o que eles mesmo chamam de 'junk funk, dirt beats and trashy break beats'. As faixas sem nomes totalizam quase duas horas de muitas viagens e experimentações. Faixas curtas com conceito visceral, sujo, direto e provocador. Participam da sessão músicos, multifacetados como eles próprios, da sempre fértil cena de Nova York. Sempre munidos com metais pesados, linhas de baixo ostensivas, atmosferas de trilha sonora e timbres interessantes - ora combinados, ora destacados.
